FREEmium WP Theme Released

FREEmium Wordpress Theme 1.0 RELEASED!
There are hundreds of premium wordpress themes on the web waiting to be paid for. Some of them are worth it, some are not. FREEmium wordpress theme is definitely worth paying for. But guess what! We’re giving it away for free. How sweet is that?
FREEmium theme was designed by Paul Kadysz and developed by Dariusz Siedlecki. Both guys did excellent job. And thanks to freebiesdock.com you can download the theme for free! But enough talking…
Let’s see how the theme looks like
We wanted it to be as customizable as possible. We worked really hard to make it work and look good on most of popular browsers. We’re not sure if we managed to achieve that. It should look good on Safari, FF 3.0x, Opera. Not sure about IE6 - but you can never be sure about this one. More features are listed below.
- XHTML 1.0 Transitional
- jQuery menu
- quick submitting to web2.0 websites support
- flickrRSS plugin support
- threaded comments support
- feedBurner subscribe via email support
- a lot of advertising spots (125×125, 120×600, 300×250)
- 2 widget ready sidebars
- free for commercial & non-commercial use
How to put title photos in my blog posts?
To display photos in posts on the main page, you have to add a custom field with the name of “image” and input a full URL to it as a value. Image should be 350×200px. Take a look at the image below to get the idea.

Updates & new features

I really like this theme and have been slowly trying to change it to suit my needs. I have zero experience with doing so, but after lots of input from others that do know CSS, I’m still having problems with the sidebars. So I suppose my question is:
Will and when will this theme be updated to run with the current Wordpress version?
If you look at my site, I cannot use my widget sthe way I need to. ANY image that is also linked is not working correctly. The link is fine, it’s how it LOOKS in the sidebars. It will not work on top of any widgets; it wants to tuck itself behind the widgets I try to place it on top of.
I began to suspect it is the php files for the sidebars, which seem to want to force only certain widgets to be used? Keep in mind I’m a newb at this as it’s all guessing, but I did have a couple of people look at it and they’re confused as to why the sidebar php files seem to allow for only certain widgets, as seen on your demo.
Is there a solution to this? I love this theme and want to use it, but I need the sidebars to work with the widgets I want to use, not the ones already preset, as seen in your demo version. I appreciate any help and thank you!

Ok, the second problem i had just went away after making more posts. Good :)
I still have to figure out how to round the corners of the highlight in the navigation menu in the header.
I edited my theme’s color scheme which wasn’t too hard but I’ve run into a problem with the menu…
I can’t get the rounded corners back.

The hoverbox thing has the square corners instead of the rounded ones of the original theme. Can anyone help me with that?
Also…in firefox…the title goes over the comments bubble and comment count on the front page. Why is that?
Seems to work fine in Safari, Chrome and Opera. Is anyone else having this issue?
Anyway, love the theme!
Jolie thème :)
I like this theme.
Its a funny question but i don’t know how to apply this theme?
Thanks for sharing. Nice collection. Wish you be Healthy, Happy and Wealthy in Year 2010. :)
Awesome work! I would go for it if it only supported the Wordpress 2.9 thumbnail feature instead of using custom fields…
Is there an update planned?? That would be wonderful!
means correctly: <?php wp_list_pages(”title_li=”) ?> to <?php wp_list_pages(”title_li=&depth=1″) ?>
