There are hundreds of premium wordpress themes on the web waiting to be paid for. Some of them are worth it, some are not. FREEmium wordpress theme is definitely worth paying for. But guess what! We’re giving it away for free. How sweet is that?

FREEmium theme was designed by Paul Kadysz and developed by Dariusz Siedlecki. Both guys did excellent job. And thanks to freebiesdock.com you can download the theme for free! But enough talking…

We wanted it to be as customizable as possible. We worked really hard to make it work and look good on most of popular browsers. We’re not sure if we managed to achieve that. It should look good on Safari, FF 3.0x, Opera. Not sure about IE6 - but you can never be sure about this one. More features are listed below.

How to put title photos in my blog posts?

To display photos in posts on the main page, you have to add a custom field with the name of “image” and input a full URL to it as a value. Image should be 350×200px. Take a look at the image below to get the idea.

Before you download Freemium Wordpress Theme, I need you to know what can and what can’t you do with it. The theme can not be resold, sublicensed, rented, transferred or otherwise made available for use. Please link to this article if you would like to spread the word.     Love the theme, but it does something weird for me when I click on any particular post. Instead of the light tan background the post inherits the dark gray outside body color. Is there an interference with one of my plugins, or did I somehow change my CSS somewhere?

    CSS rules have to be short and concise to make browser rendering efficient.
    Please evaluate rewriting the CSS rules used widely on this theme as: #header ul li a strong { display: none; } to #header strong { display: none; } or change for a specific class like .header_strong as preferred.
    I found that reading the CSS is very clear with your code, one can figure out easily what is what on the page, but the browser has to evaluate all the descendants to apply an style to render to a given element on the page.
    I find a better practice (recommended widely as well) using 1 to 2 desdendant tags or specific classes and commenting the code.
    You can have a look to my CSS or use Google PageSpeed to evaluate FREEmium’s performance. I know it’s a free theme but writing efficient CSS code cost the same.
